DIALOGUE
Ideally, a dialogue is a conversation between two or more parties to reach an agreement. With this in mind, Kajsa Karlsson invited Willow May, a household waste recycling centre worker, to come to Ærø and take a closer look at the waste we leave behind.
Over a week, and in conversation with Willow May an attempt is made at a service-oriented practice, where care and maintenance are at the center. The result is installed in an old hot dog stand, parked on Søby Harbour throughout the exhibition.
The inspiration is drawn from American artist Mierle Laderman Ukeles, who back in the 1970s began her collaborative work with sanitation workers in New York City.
